Step 1
Measure and mark the steel which will be the blade length including the blade which goes in to the handle of the sword.
Step 2
Cut the steel on the markings for the blade to the template with an angle grinder.
Step 3
After cutting the steel, polish and fix with a sander and/or file.
Step 4
Mark out the sword outline which can be curved or straight (Mine is curved).
Step 5
Cut out on the markings so all that is left is the sword and no excess steel.
Step 6
Sand down and use shapely on the steel to polish so it looks nice.
Step 7
Make the handle by marking the length of the end of the sword and the wood.
Step 8
Cut the wood down the middle so when you cut with the drop saw it splits into two.
Step 9
Grind down the handle until it fits then make markings on the wood for where to drill.
Step 10
Drill holes in wood and in the steel on the markings for screws.
Step 11
Polish up steel so it looks nice again.
Step 12
Now find some wood (I used treated pine wood) to make the hilt. Mark it out on the handle from the top to the bottom of where you want it to sit.
Step 13
Cut out hilt on the markings
